Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Talents is a decentralized freelance marketplace built on The Open Network (TON) and integrated with Telegram. This policy explains what data we process when you use the platform, why we process it, and the choices you have.
Because Talents is non-custodial and partly on-chain, some information — such as wallet addresses and completed transactions — lives on a public blockchain that no single party, including us, can alter or erase.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the marketplace:
- Account details — your email or Telegram identity (username, Telegram ID, and profile photo) used to sign in.
- Profile information — the skills, portfolio, rates, and bio you choose to publish.
- TON wallet address — the public address you connect to send or receive payments. We never have access to your private keys or seed phrase.
- Usage data — device, browser, and interaction logs we use to keep the service secure and reliable.
3. How we use your information
- To create and operate your account and profile.
- To match clients with talents and facilitate contracts and milestones.
- To prepare and reference escrow smart-contract transactions on TON.
- To send notifications via Telegram and email about your projects and account.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and to comply with legal obligations.
4. Blockchain & on-chain data
Payments and escrow on Talents settle through smart contracts on TON. Transaction details — including wallet addresses, amounts, and timestamps — are recorded on a public, immutable ledger.
This on-chain data is outside our control: we cannot modify, hide, or delete it. Your funds remain self-custodial — held by smart contracts and your own wallet, not by Talents.
5. Telegram integration
If you sign in or link your account with Telegram, we receive the basic profile data Telegram shares with the login widget (name, username, ID, and photo). We use it to authenticate you and to deliver notifications. Your activity inside Telegram itself is governed by Telegram’s own privacy policy.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only:
- With other users, to the extent needed to complete a contract (e.g. your profile and messages with a counterparty).
- With service providers who help us operate the platform (hosting, analytics, communications), under confidentiality obligations.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the platform.
7. Cookies & tracking
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences, and limited analytics to understand how the product is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may break parts of the service.
8. Data security
We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and a non-custodial design — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so we encourage you to safeguard your wallet keys and account credentials. We will never ask for your seed phrase or private keys.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. Note that information already written to the blockchain cannot be deleted.
10. Data retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it where technically possible.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the platform or Telegram.
